What is SERNAUTO?

SERNAUTO is the sector’s voice and defends the interests of its member companies before public administrations, institutions and national and international organisations.

Who we represent

We represent automotive component manufacturers based in Spain that supply directly to vehicle manufacturers and the spare parts market. These include Spanish and foreign multinationals, medium-sized companies and SMEs.

What we do

We develop specialised agreements, programmes and training, fostering internationalisation, technological cooperation and the positioning of value-chain companies, connecting them with new markets and actions in national and international forums.

The automotive sector is one of the fundamental pillars of Spanish industry and has become one of the strategic sectors of the country's economy. It represents a key element in terms of employment, exports and innovation, with Spain being the 2nd largest vehicle producer in Europe and the 9th worldwide.
The main strengths of the sector include innovation and technological differentiation, investment in R&D+i (more than 4% of turnover), quality and efficiency in processes, adaptation to the technological and cultural diversity of OEMs, integration into the value chain, and a consolidated industrial fabric with highly qualified professionals.
